QA Analyst - C04KFQ 
This position will involve active participation in the ongoing development and enhancement of Canadian Tire’s ecosystem of digital applications.  Continuous improvement and a heavy User Experienced focused testing approach in a DevOps environment is a must with the aptitude to break the application.  With your in-depth understanding of system design, implementation and integration you will identify bugs as early as possible and track them through the life-cycle. 
On the App DevOps team you will be deeply embedded in the development team responsible for the mobile and in-store applications we deliver on.  You will be accountable for the end-to-end unscripted testing, documenting and analysis of the experiences, heavily focused on reporting of the current health of the test plan.  The QA Analyst will be responsible for numerous projects, serving as the driver for the testing approach throughout the project lifecycle and applications in production.  In addition, the continued evolution of our Canadian Tire Retail app and other supported applications will require ongoing QA release management activities. 
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Contribute to the continuous development and testing of Canadian Tire’s digital user experiences. 
  • Responsible for the validation of QA metrics and reporting on project and application quality standards.
  • Own improvements on the test and development process, and provide Development Support including local build testing, defect isolation, risk assessment and regression. 
  • Performing QA analysis, Testability report design, and creation of the QA Project Plan.
  • Helping plan, scope, schedule and implement functional test cases to complement the automation plans.
  • Participating in defining performance/automation test objectives, strategies, and standards to build comprehensive test strategies.
  • Apply white box, and black box testing techniques.
  • Provide input and evolve our Test Strategy and Test Reports in sync with the application enhancements. 
  • Work closely with the UI/UX design team to ensure feasibility of implementation and design for testability. 
  • Assisting other analysts with approach and technical issues with creating and executing test cases.
  • Performing test analysis through the use of QA metrics, code churn and delta documents.
In order to succeed, you will need the following:  
  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience. 
  • Strong organizational and communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Deep industry experience in Mobile and Web application testing. 
  • Strong comprehension of agile software delivery methods and a proven ability to operate in a fast paced environment.   
  • Solid understanding of QA industry-standard methodologies and SDLC.
  • Good customer service and relationship management skills
  • Outstanding analysis and problem solving skills. 
  • Excellent team player and flexible with respect to work hours. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Off Suite of tools (Word, Excel)
  • Experience with TestDirector, LoadRunner and QuickTest test tools, Selenium a plus.*LI-MK1
