IT Asset Management and Procurement Specialist– Job Description
Resolute Technology Solutions is growing! We are looking for an IT Asset Management and Procurement Specialist to join us! You would be responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and optimizing technology spending across the organization.
What you will be responsible for:
  • Procurement
    • Manage order activities within the procurement system
    • Process daily IT procurement requisitions for clients and RTS
    • Define & create standard system ‘bundles’ for client resupply, based on detailed specifications
    • Participate in RFQ exercises for planned projects & implementations
  • Asset /Inventory Management
    • Maintain accurate asset records/databases for both internal and RTS clients containing hardware and software information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements
    • Manage internal and client inventories for hardware lifecycle management
  • Vendor / Contract Management
    • Manage relationships with new and existing suppliers
    • Ensure support and maintenance contracts are renewed in a timely fashion for mission critical hardware & software
    • Make recommendations for support levels and duration based on technical team requirements, industry trends and best practices. 
    • Participate in or lead vendor negotiations and cost saving strategies
    • Facilitate and lead supplier selection recommendations and oversee contract implementation, ensuring supplier’s adherence to contractual commitments;
  • Financial Management
    • Manage internal and client purchasing to budgeted amounts and track monthly expenditures, accounting for variances and providing detailed analysis.
    • Create and issue purchase orders using client PO systems for the provision of goods and services required for IT projects. 
    • Analyze billing from vendors to ensure alignment with budget expectations
  • Standards, Policies and Procedures
    • Establish and maintain internal and client asset management and purchasing policies and procedures in a based upon best practices and client requirements
    • Minimize organizational cost through product standardization and tracking
  • Reporting
    • Develop Reporting elements for management and client review using best practices and KPI’s.
    • Create and maintain reports for vendor management, supply chain and budgeting purposes
  • Performs other special projects/services as assigned for the company and/or its Clients
What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, a related field or seven years of equivalent experience.
  • Process-oriented; analytical, quality-oriented thought process and execution
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented work ethic
  • Excellent written, communications and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated track record of working with asset or inventory management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple strategic tasks/ accounts simultaneously
  • Some knowledge of capabilities, limitations, and functional applications of technology systems and solutions
  • Independent ability to research technical problems and solutions
  • Willingness to work flexible hours at times, based on needs
  • Ability to work individually and within a team
  • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data
  • Ability to read and interpret management policy, regulations, and directives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or higher to include Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint
