POSITION GOAL: 
The Sr Consultant, ICT Systems Engineering, network and security is responsible to assess, identify, and solve network and security related issues in complex infrastructure environments. The Sr Consultant provides Architecture, advice, guidance, as well as design, implementation and support for Network and Security Systems in client environments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (list in order of importance)
  • Provide Architecture, design, implementation, and support for Network and Security projects, both internal and external
  • Provide expertise in complex routing and switching environments.
  • Extensive experience in designing, operating, and maintain: Spine and Leaf, Virtualized Multi-Datacenter, large scale campus, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRf, DMVPN
  • Extensive experience in designing and maintaining Data Center Networks based on CISCO Nexus, Campus networks based on Nexus, Catalyst, and ISR
  • Experience with Next Generation Firewalls: Checkpoint, Firepower, ASA, Paulo Alto
  • Experience with Identity based Network Access Solutions: CISCO ISE, Clearpass, 802.1x
  • Experience creating detailed solution designs. Defining Business and Technical requirements, High Level Design, and Detailed Designs
  • Implement and maintain security tools and services
  • Using available assessment tools, conduct vulnerability and security assessments on client networks, and create documentation for clients that includes deficiency identification and remediation recommendations.
  • Monitor and analyze network and security systems, identifying, planning for and fixing weaknesses and inefficiencies
  • Act as a “Trusted Advisor” for EPIC Clients
  • Investigate and resolve network and security incidents for customers
  • Provide Consultation to Customer regarding CISCO Products and Services
  • Create written reports and present them to various stakeholders
 
 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide guidance to staff on technology issues when needed. 
  • Performs other related duties and completes special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education (Preferred Education Only) 
  • CCNA/NP R&S, CCNA/NP Security
  • CCIE R&S Preferred
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 

Experience/Knowledge (Preferred Experience/Knowledge Only)

  • Minimum 5+ years of industry experience
  • Minimum CCNA/CCNP Route & Switch/Security (CCIE Preferred), or equivalent certifications are considered and asset.
  • Extensive Experience providing Architecture, design, implementation, and support for enterprise environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Server Environments, VMWare/Hyper-V/KVM Virutalization considered an asset
